Information

People Watching Erupting Geyser in Iceland

Go on an amazing private tour with an expert guide through the famous Golden Circle. See its major attractions, including a fissure between two continents, erupting geysers, and powerful waterfalls. Your guide will be there with you to tell you fascinating stories about each of those places.

The itinerary of this tour is flexible, meaning you can visit all the attractions in any sequence you want. Also, there's an option to add extra activities to the tour upon booking.

Group Walking in Thingvellir National Park in Iceland

We begin our tour with a special location – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Thingvellir. It is a historically significant location since it is where Iceland's first parliament, Althingi, was first held in 930 AD. The parliament still bears its name today, making it the oldest continuously existing parliament in the world's history. It is also a geologically unique location with a ridge between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Your knowledgeable guide will tell you all the interesting history linked to this place.

Erupted Geysir Geyser in Iceland

After taking a walk at Thingvellir, we will head to the Haukadalur geothermal area, known for colorful mud pods and green patches of moss. It is home to Iceland's most well-known geysers, including the Great Geysir and the area's most active geyser, Strokkur. Great Geysir is now dormant, but Strokkur shoots boiling water up in the air every 5-10 minutes. The enormous force of this eruption will help you get an idea of the power beneath the surface.

Aerial View of Gullfoss Waterfall during Winter

The final attraction of the Golden Circle will be the majestic Gullfoss Waterfall, also known as "the Golden Falls." It is a beautiful water cascade falling down in two stages, originating from the powerful Hvítá river. The beautiful lush valley surrounds the waterfall, and you can usually see the rainbow covering it on sunny days.

Woman Sitting by Kerid Crater in Iceland

Afterward, we'll visit Kerið, a volcanic crater in Grímsnes municipality. A theory is that this crater was once a cone volcano that emptied its magma reserve. Right now, a void is filled with turquoise blue water, and it is an amazing sight to see.

The entire tour can be customized according to your needs, lasts around 6-8 hours, and is commonly considered to contain some of the best sights that the land of fire and ice has to offer: it simply cannot be missed!

There is availability to add extra activities to this tour for an additional fee, here are the optional extras we offer:
