People Watching Erupting Geyser in Iceland

Experience Iceland's natural wonders on a private tour of the Golden Circle. Your personal guide will take you on a 190-mile (300-kilometer) journey from Reykjavik to Thingvellir National Park, Geysir Geothermal Area, Gullfoss Waterfall, and Kerið crater. Discover Iceland's diverse landscapes and cultural heritage along the way. Book your unforgettable adventure today!

The tour can be tailored to your preferences and lasts approximately 6-8 hours. Many consider it to be a must-see, as it showcases some of the most impressive sights that Iceland has to offer. Don't miss out!

This tour is part of our carbon offset program. By joining us, you're supporting our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and taking action towards a more sustainable future.

Group Walking in Thingvellir National Park in Iceland

At Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you'll meet with Iceland's rich history. This is where the world's first parliament gathered over a thousand years ago! Walk through the valley where continents are slowly drifting apart and see the stunning gorges and lava fields left behind by ancient eruptions. At Thingvellir, you can also snorkel between two tectonic plates in crystal-clear waters of Silfra fissure (optional extra).

Erupted Geysir Geyser in Iceland

Next up is Gullfoss Waterfall, translated as “The Golden Falls.” Get ready to be wowed by one of Iceland's biggest attractions. The waterfall cascades down three stages of volcanic rock before plunging into a 2-kilometer (6,560 ft) crevice below. Powered by a glacier, it crashes into an old canyon, making a spectacular scene and spraying a refreshing mist in the air.

Next up is the well-loved Geysir Hot Spring Area. At this stop, you'll feel the Earth's excitement as hot springs shoot water up high into the air. Keep an eye out for Strokkur geyser - it blasts boiling water up 30 meters (100 ft) every few minutes, making quite the show! You can see the Great Geysir nearby, which has been active for over 10,000 years. It's the one that gave its name to all geysers worldwide, but it's not erupting at the moment.

Finally, explore Iceland's volcanic past at Kerið crater to learn about Iceland's past. The crater has a pristine blue lake surrounded by red cliffs and has an interesting history. Kerið used to be a volcano that collapsed after an eruption because it ran out of magma. This formed its unique shape. The crater is over a thousand years old, and you will be walking around its rim to see it from up close!

We are thrilled to offer you the chance to add some exciting extra activities to your tour for an additional fee. Here are the fantastic options we have available for you:
