Upon landing at Keflavik International Airport, you’ll be greeted by a private transfer that takes you to the capital of the country, Reykjavik. Once you’ve checked in at your hotel, the day is yours to enjoy the city’s sights or unwind after your journey. 

Optional activities include a guided Reykjavik city walk and a food-tasting tour. Sample traditional dishes like fresh fish, succulent lamb, and delectable pastries. Visit iconic landmarks such as Hallgrímskirkja church and the Althingi, Iceland's parliament.

If you’d rather jump straight into Iceland’s renowned geothermal relaxation, we can also arrange a visit to the famous Blue Lagoon. Unwind in mineral-rich waters surrounded by lava fields—a perfect way to ease into your Iceland adventure.

Today, we explore the wonders of the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, a beautifully diverse region also known as “Miniature Iceland.” After a scenic drive in a comfortable V-Class van or spacious Sprinter, you’ll be guided to some of the peninsula's most captivating sights.

Our first stop is Ytri-Tunga Seal Beach, where seals are often spotted basking along the shore—a unique chance to observe these playful creatures up close. Next, we head to the iconic Kirkjufell Mountain, Iceland’s most photographed peak. Rising impressively over the town of Grundarfjörður, it is complemented by the beautiful Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall.

Further along, we’ll walk along Djúpalónssandur Beach, known for its black sands, stunning rock formations, and remnants of a shipwreck—a photographer’s paradise. Afterward, we visit Arnarstapi Village, a charming fishing town backed by the Snæfellsjökull Glacier, with a coastal hike offering views of lava fields and the famous Gatklettur Stone Arch.

Our final stop is the Búðir Black Church, a quaint 18th-century chapel standing stark against a backdrop of mountains and lava fields—a favorite spot for capturing unforgettable memories. The day concludes with an overnight stay in a peaceful village with historical charm.

Today, we’ll venture into the Borgarfjörður area, known for its geothermal marvels and beautiful waterfalls. Our journey begins at Deildartunguhver, Europe’s most powerful hot spring, where you’ll witness bubbling, steaming waters that supply heat to nearby towns. Next, we’ll visit Reykholt, a historic village where the medieval poet and chieftain Snorri Sturluson once lived.

From there, we take a short hike around Grábrók Volcano Crater to get some panoramic views of lava fields and rugged landscapes, making for a fantastic photo stop. Our final destination is Hraunfossar and Barnafoss Waterfalls. Hraunfossar is a series of beautiful, blue-hued cascades that pour from a lava field, while nearby Barnafoss features rapid waters rushing under a natural stone arch. Both captivating sights are within walking distance of each other.

The day wraps up with an overnight stay at Hotel Laugarbakki, a peaceful country hotel surrounded by nature, perfect for unwinding after an adventurous day.

Today, your journey takes you northward to the Tröllaskagi Peninsula, starting with a visit to the picturesque town of Siglufjörður. Once the thriving “Herring Capital” of Iceland, Siglufjörður holds a unique charm, nestled between steep mountains and the fjord. Explore the town’s heritage, strolling its quiet streets or perhaps visiting the Herring Era Museum to step back into the region’s fascinating past.

From Siglufjörður, we travel through panoramic views of Iceland’s rugged landscape to reach the whale-watching village of Dalvík. Here, you’ll embark on a three-hour whale-watching tour with an impressive 98% success rate for whale sightings. Humpback, Minke whales, dolphins, and porpoises are frequently spotted in their natural habitat—an incredible opportunity to capture memorable photos and connect with Iceland’s marine life. 

Note: Whale watching in Dalvík is an optional extra typically done with a group. However, if you prefer, we can arrange a private whale-watching experience just for you!

Your day concludes in Akureyri, Iceland’s “Capital of the North.” Check-in at the Hotel Kea, right in the heart of this vibrant town. With lively cafes, local shops, and cultural spots within easy reach, Akureyri will be a welcoming end to an adventurous day.

Today’s adventure takes you through some of North and East Iceland’s most captivating landscapes. Begin with Goðafoss, the "Waterfall of the Gods," a majestic sight just off the Ring Road with impressive cascades that make it a must-see on any Icelandic journey.

Next, explore the surreal landscapes around Lake Mývatn. Start with the Dimmuborgir Lava Field, a unique area filled with dramatic rock formations and craggy lava pillars that add a mystical touch to the region. Continuing, we reach the Mývatn Nature Baths, where you’ll unwind in a warm, mineral-rich spa surrounded by volcanic scenery. For more geothermal wonders, a quick stop at Námaskarð reveals boiling mud pools and steaming fumaroles.

In the afternoon, we head to Stuðlagil Canyon, a natural marvel with towering basalt columns lining a turquoise river—a world-famous attraction.

The day wraps up in the town of Egilsstaðir, where you’ll check into a cozy accommodation with views of East Iceland’s countryside.

Today’s journey takes you deep into Iceland’s glacial wonderland, starting with the breathtaking Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. Known for iconic films like James Bond and Tomb Raider, this top attraction is a must-see. Here, colossal icebergs float serenely, drifting from the Breiðamerkurjökull Glacier toward the sea—a sight that’s both surreal and unforgettable.

Next, stroll along Diamond Beach, where shimmering chunks of ice lie scattered on the black sands, creating a striking contrast that lives up to its name. The beach is a photographer’s paradise, with crystal-clear ice shining like gemstones against the volcanic backdrop.

In the afternoon, you’ll head to the Skaftafell Nature Reserve for an exhilarating glacier hike on Vatnajökull, Europe’s largest glacier. Led by an expert glacier guide, you’ll explore the dramatic crevasses and unique ice formations of the Falljökull glacier tongue. Equipped with crampons, this adventure offers both stunning views and a memorable encounter with Iceland’s icy landscapes.

Tonight, relax at a cozy spot surrounded by lava fields. From here, you can enjoy impressive views of Vatnajökull and nearby natural wonders.

On this day, we explore some of Iceland's most iconic natural wonders - the biggest hits of the region. We begin at Reynisfjara, famous for its striking black sand beach, towering basalt columns, and powerful Atlantic waves. This breathtaking location offers great photo opportunities and a chance to appreciate the raw beauty of Iceland’s coastline. Next, experience Skógafoss waterfall—a breathtaking enormous cascade often adorned with rainbows. Continue to Seljalandsfoss, a waterfall that allows you to walk behind its flowing curtain for a unique perspective.

In the afternoon, dive into the classic Golden Circle route, starting with Gullfoss waterfall, a majestic two-tiered cascade on the Hvítá River. At Geysir, witness Strokkur geyser shooting boiling water high into the air every few minutes, a thrilling natural spectacle. Conclude at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can walk between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.

Return to Reykjavík and unwind at the Exeter Hotel by Keahotels for a relaxing stay by the harbor with easy access to the city’s vibrant attractions.

Your final day offers two equally enticing options. For those looking to end on a relaxing note, head to the world-famous Blue Lagoon.
