From
This tour combines the thrill and beauty Iceland is known for into a single package. The first half takes you across the snowy plains of Langjökull, offering an exhilarating ride through this vast, icy landscape. The latter half transports you to the Icelandic countryside, where our small group searches for the Northern Lights. The adventure begins and ends in Reykjavik.
Leaving Reykjavik behind, we’ll drive through the Icelandic countryside towards Langjokull - the second-largest glacier in Iceland. We’ll reach the base camp with the help of a Super Jeep and receive all the needed equipment: a snowmobile suit, gloves, helmet, and balaclava for the ride. Expert guides will inform you and demonstrate how to handle a snowmobile safely.
After that, we’ll ascend into the glacier and begin our snowmobiling adventure. During this one-hour expedition, you’ll skid through Langjokull white horizons, an area filled with exciting ice formations and crevasses.
We’ll end the ride by regrouping at the base camp and leaving the glacier behind. If you haven’t packed lunch, we will be making a stop at Skjol Bistro, a small restaurant near the Great Geysir area. Be sure to regain your energy for the next part of the adventure as we return to the capital.
You will meet your certified Aurora guide in Reykjavik and board the minibus for the Northern Lights chase. This adventure takes you to the remote Icelandic countryside, away from the light pollution and buildings that can block the view. Your guide will choose the best spot based on Aurora forecasts, cloud cover, and the weather that day. The locations can change, making the experience feel like a real hunt.
But it’s all worth it when we see what we’ve been looking for—the majestic, colorful lights that paint the entire sky with bright hues. Red, blue, pink, and sometimes purple Auroras are Iceland’s signature show. As you admire this awe-inspiring sight, your guide will take pictures of you with the Northern Lights in the background. You’ll be able to download the photos for free after the tour.
After warming up with hot cocoa and sweets, we’ll return to Reykjavik and drop you off at the starting point.
Pick-up starts at 10 a.m. You will be picked up at your selected location in Reykjavik. Please note that picking everyone up can take up to 30 minutes. Your patience is greatly appreciated.

We’ve partnered with the Kolviður Fund in a new carbon offsetting program, which passengers can select to participate in at the time of booking.
The Kolviður Fund is the oldest, most respected carbon offsetting program in Iceland. With your support, one tree will be planted in special Kolviður forests in Iceland to carbon offset your tour with us.
Kolviður forests are strategically planted to absorb the maximum amount of CO2 and the forests are protected for a minimum of 60 years. During their lifetime the trees absorb carbon and store it in their root system, trunk, and branches. Trees also prevent soil erosion and maintain storage of carbon in the soil.
