If you’re arriving in Reykjavík by cruise ship and joining an Arctic Adventures tour, this page will help you easily find your meeting point. Below are step-by-step instructions for Skarfabakki and Miðbakki cruise terminals. 

Skarfabakki 312, 315 & Korngarður

General Arrival Info

If your ship docks at Skarfabakki (berths 312, 315, or Korngarður), please note that buses are not permitted to drive directly to the ship. To join your transfer, you will need to walk a short distance from the pier to the designated “Booked Tours Pick-up” area. 

> Important: Skarfabakki’s main cruise terminal is under construction (expected completion 2026). Passenger services are currently run from temporary tents and structures. 

What to Look For

This is the temporary terminal at Skarfabakki 312, currently used while the main building is under construction.

Look for one of our marked Arctic Adventures minibuses near the pick-up point. Our friendly guides will be ready to welcome you aboard!

Directions From Each Terminal

Skarfabakki Terminal 312 (Main Terminal)

  • After disembarking, head through the terminal and exit into the designated area just outside the building. Look for signs marked “Booked Tours Pick-up", which is located to the east of the terminal building.

Skarfabakki Terminal 315 (Container Terminal)

  • Terminal 315 is located directly adjacent to 312.  
  • Make your way (either on foot or via free shuttle) from Terminal 315 to Terminal 312, then follow the instructions above. 
  • The walk from terminal 315 to the booked tours pick-up location is approximately 5-8 minutes. 

If your ship docks at Skarfabakki 315, follow the walkway (shown in this map) to Terminal 312.

Korngarður Terminal

  • Korngarður is the westernmost terminal building and just a few minutes' walk from 315. 
  • Make your way (either on foot or via free shuttle) from Korngarður to Terminal 312, then follow the instructions above. 
  • The walk from Korngarður to the booked tours pick-up location is approximately 7-10 minutes. 
  • Proceed toward the “Booked Tours Pick-up” area outside Terminal 312, which serves as the meeting point for bookings made under “Skarfabakki” or “Korngarður.” 

If you dock at Korngarður, it’s a short 7–10 minute walk or shuttle ride to Skarfabakki 312, the meeting point.

Downtown Reykjavík: Miðbakki & Faxagarður Terminals

If your ship docks at downtown Reykjavík (Miðbakki or Faxagarður), please note that buses are not permitted to drive directly to the ship. To join your transfer, you will need to walk a short distance from the pier to Bus Stop #4, Miðbakki. 

What to Look For

Bus Stop #4 – Miðbakki: This is the pickup point for Arctic Adventures tours for passengers arriving at Miðbakki or Faxagarður cruise terminals.

Instructions by Terminal

From Miðbakki (Old Harbour Cruise Terminal)

  • Exit the terminal and walk east along the waterfront, keeping the harbour on your right. 
  • In about 5 minutes, you’ll reach Bus Stop #4 Miðbakki. This is the designated meeting point for pre-booked tours.

Faxagarður (Near Harpa Concert Hall)

  • Disembark at Faxagarður and walk west along the waterfront (towards downtown). 
  • The walk to Bus Stop #4 takes about 5–7 minutes (≈400 m).
