About tour

This private full-day tour is for EVE Online Fanfest 2026 participants only, built around a shared journey into one of Iceland’s most unusual places. You’ll travel from Harpa Concert Hall with a professional guide and a separate driver. Two CCP developers—team members from CCP Games, the studio behind EVE Online—join as fellow participants (not as guides or hosts).

The day leads into West Iceland and up to Langjökull, where you’ll enter the Into the Glacier experience. It’s a man-made tunnel system carved deep inside the ice, with translucent blue corridors and chambers that reveal its inner layers. You’ll also pass through volcanic landscapes along the way and finish with a stop at Hraunfossar waterfall before returning to Reykjavík.

Itinerary

You’ll depart Harpa at 8:30 AM and head into West Iceland, driving through broad valleys and lava-shaped terrain as the road climbs toward Langjökull. After the glacier base area, you’ll continue with the Into the Glacier ice cave experience, then finish with a stop at Hraunfossar waterfall and a short lunch stop (self-paid) before returning to Reykjavík around 7:00 PM.

At Langjökull, you’ll take part in the Into the Glacier experience: a privately guided visit through a man-made tunnel system carved deep within the glacier. You’ll walk through blue-toned corridors and chambers that reveal the glacier’s layers from the inside, with your guide leading the way.

Into the glacier tunnel different routes entry ways inside ice tunnel at Langjokull.

After the glacier visit, you’ll stop at Hraunfossar waterfall, where dozens of clear streams flow out from beneath a lava field into the river below. It’s an easy, flat walk between viewpoints, and on clear days you’ll often get a great look at the mossy lava landscape that feeds the falls.

  • Lunch is not included in this tour.
  • A short stop will be made to purchase food when possible; due to the length of the day, we strongly recommend bringing snacks and drinks.
  • Walking inside the tunnel is on flat, icy surfaces and is suitable for most fitness levels.
