Start by using the booking system to browse available models, choose your travel dates, and pick the camper that fits your group and travel style. Whether you’re looking for a compact 2-person van or a 4x4 for rugged roads, all specs and prices are clearly listed.
You can also select useful extras during booking — such as camping tables, BBQ grills, power inverters, extra bedding, and more.
Every rental includes Basic CDW, and you can upgrade to a higher insurance tier for extra protection. Standard, Plus, and Max Insurance each offer different deductible levels and coverage limits, ranging from essential protection to the most comprehensive option. You can also add Roadside Protection, which covers towing and on-road assistance costs that can otherwise be very expensive in Iceland.
Not sure which tier fits your trip? You can select or upgrade your insurance at pickup, and the team will help you choose the level that suits your route and comfort.

Happy Campers offers a complimentary shuttle service from Keflavík International Airport straight to their rental station. You won’t need to worry about taxis or buses — just confirm your pickup time, and they’ll be there when you arrive.
Just make sure you make it on time. The shuttle service only operates during the opening hours of Happy Campers:
Missed the bus? No worries. Spend the night at your own reserved accommodation and board the shuttle in the morning.
Once at the Happy Campers base, you’ll be greeted by the team and guided through a short check-in process. They’ll verify your booking, answer any questions, and make sure you have everything you need — including a final chance to add extras or adjust insurance.
Before hitting the road, you’ll get a full tour of your camper — from how to fold down the bed, to using the kitchen and heater. The team will explain safety equipment, storage, power sources, and anything else that helps your trip run smoothly.
This is also the perfect time to ask last-minute questions about roads, campsites, or itinerary tips.
With everything in place, it’s time to set off! Drive at your own pace, stop where you want, and discover Iceland’s incredible landscapes from the comfort of your rolling home. Whether it’s your first time in a van or you’re a road trip pro, the Happy Campers experience is designed to be smooth, safe, and unforgettable.
At the end of your trip, return the camper to the Happy Campers base. A quick vehicle inspection wraps things up, and if you’re up for it, the team is always happy to hear about your favorite stops and stories!

You can only drive on F-roads if you rent a 4x4 camper model (such as the Happy 4x4 or 4x4 XL). F-roads are rough mountain tracks and are off-limits to 2WD campers. Always check road conditions and make sure the specific route is legally accessible with your rental.
