Pick up starts at  6:30 pm from your Reykjavík accommodation.

Your pick up will arrive at your hotel in a super-jeep with an expert guide at the wheel ready to make the night exceptional. While we wait for the night to close in we start by exploring the hidden world in the lava field located in the Blue Mountains close toReykjavik. Walking down into the lava cave and discovering the marvels that volcanic activity has created in the past is a trip that is suitable for everyone. During your underworld adventure, you will have the chance to witness the magical rock formations left behind in the last volcanic eruption. During the winter, the cave is likely to be filled with glistening icicles of all shapes and sizes, making it a truly beautiful experience.

After our underground adventure, we will drive to Rauda Husid restaurant in Eyrarbakki village on the south coast where a two-course dinner (350 gr. lobster and dessert) will be waiting for us. Rauda husid, located 60 km from Reykjavik, is one of Iceland’s most renowned seafood restaurants that is frequently known for its lobster dinner.

The Auroras are best seen far from the city lights. On cloudless and clear winter evenings, we may be able to spot this beautiful and elusive natural phenomenon. Vivid and bright, the dancing northern lights in the Arctic skies are truly an amazing sight.

Not interested in caving or eating lobster dinner? Skip both and join our Northern Lights

Remember to bring: Warm outdoor clothing, waterproof  jacket and pants, headwear and gloves. Good warm shoes and woolen socks. Northern lights tours require you to watch the skies and that means you will be outside at night in Iceland in winter. Dress warmly, there is no such thing as too many layers of clothes on our Aurora Tours.

What if I don’t own all of these clothing necessaries?
Don’t worry, you can always rent sturdy hiking shoes, waterproof jacket and pants in the booking process. We do not rent gear from location.

Please note

Seeing the Northern Lights is highly dependent on weather conditions and we reserve the right to cancel if the circumstances are not in your favor.
