We will continue our trip to Thorsmork over un-bridged rivers stopping by an impressive Gigjokull, the glacial tongue at the back of Eyjafjallajokull glacier. Once in Thorsmork, there is a lot to see and we will spend the day exploring this unique place. We will walk on many interesting and accessible paths that go around the valley. From Básar, we will head to Langidalur crossing a bridge on wheels, specially constructed to make possible the crisscrossing of the glacial strong river Krossá, which can change its stretch during the seasons of the year. We will hike on Valahnjúkur mountain with a beautiful overview of the valley and Laugavegur Trek. Downhill exploring the area we will discover an amazing and hidden in the rocks a Song cave with its waterfall. Our next stop will be Húsadalur Valley where we take a short break and go back passing by a legendary Snorraríki’s cave, that requires a short climb to get into for those who dare.
