Snowmobiling on a glacier is the perfect way spend your vacation here in Iceland. You meet at our base camp on Langjokull Glacier (See driving directions) for a 1 hour snowmobile ride on Europe’s 2nd largest glacier. Upon arrival to our basecamp your certified glacier guide will provide you with all the snowmobile gear needed for the tour, ensuring that you will stay safe and warm during your 1 hour snowmobile ride. In continuum your guide will go over how to safely operate the snowmobile before you head off on a 1 hour ride on the glacier. This tour is a unique experience that you should definitely not let slip through your fingers!

This tour offers daily departures from our Langjokull base camp. We kindly ask you to meet us there no later than 15 minutes before your departure time. Driving from Reykjavík takes around 2 and a half hour so please make sure you calculate enough time for your drive.

A standard booking is for 2 people sharing 1 snowmobile.
If you wish to have a solo snowmobile or your group is an odd number please choose the number of solo participants with the option "participants - solo on a snowmobile" when making your booking.
A valid drivers license is required to operate a snowmobile.
The road from Gullfoss to the Base road is an F-road so please contact your Car Rental in order to see if you are allowed to drive F-roads.
Due to safety reasons we do not recommend women that are already 3 months pregnant to participate in our snowmobile tours.
Yes, you can. The plus side to being a cold country is that our glacier are here all year around and we can go snowmobiling in every season.
What time are we dropped back to Gullfoss cafe from the Glacier Snowmobiling from Gullfoss if we are collected at 12:30?
You will be returning back around 16:30, but this can vary depending on the conditions (+/- 60 minutes).
We don’t exactly have a weight restriction but participants need to be able to fit in our winter overalls. The largest size we have is 3XL. As for the physical level, the tour is listed at a the level moderate and anyone in average physical condition should be able to complete the tour without any trouble.
Yes, we have toilets at the base camp where the tour starts that you are more than welcome to use before and after. Unfortunately we cannot offer any bathroom breaks during the tour itself.
We provide you with an overall, a balaclava, gloves and a helmet.
This is all included in the price of the tour.
First and foremost warm clothing.
Upper body: Thermal shirt and a fleece or a thick sweater over.
Lower body: Warm pants.
If you get easily cold, also thermals.
Shoes: It’s best to wear boots as it’s pretty cold on the glacier and they can get wet.
NOTE: You need to bring a lunch or some snacks. Lunch is not included in the tour.
Yes, if traveling solo you will need to purchase the single ride extra.
Yes there is, safety is always our number one priority and after looking closely into this the age limit was set to 8 years, of course in company with a guardian.

By far the best experience of the trip. Out tour guide Funnar was funny and very knowledgeable about the glacier. When I emailed the company the day before to confirm the meeting location they were very responsive and confirmed right away.
